Overview:
UD Barber Shop is seeking licensed, professional barbers and stylists.
This opportunity is ideal for barbers/stylist looking to build or expand their clientele in a professional and welcoming environment.
Our barbershop accepts both walk-ins and appointments and is conveniently located in The Reserve at Katy, in the Kroger Plaza on Spring Green Blvd. This established shopping center offers excellent visibility and potential opportunities to attract new clients.
Business Hours:
- Tuesday – Friday: 10 AM – 7 PM.
- Saturday: 9 AM – 6 PM.
- Sunday: 10 AM – 6 PM.
- Monday: Closed (Currently).
Flexible scheduling opportunities are available within the barbershop's operating hours. Full-time availability, including afternoons and weekends, is preferred.
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid State of Texas Barber or Cosmetology License appropriate for the services offered.
- Demonstrate strong barbering skills and a commitment to providing quality grooming services.
- Possess strong communication and customer service skills to understand and meet individual client preferences.
- Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and clean, organized workstation.
- Ability to manage appointments and build lasting client relationships.
- Existing clientele is preferred but not required. Barbers seeking to establish or expand their clientele are encouraged to inquire.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional barbering and grooming services, including haircuts, fades, beard trims, styling, and straight-razor grooming where appropriately licensed.
- Consult with clients to understand their grooming preferences and deliver quality, personalized services.
- Manage personal appointments, scheduling, and customer relationships.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the rented workstation in compliance with Texas licensing and health requirements.
- Maintain personal barbering tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Establish and grow a loyal customer base through quality service, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
- Follow applicable shop policies and the agreed chair rental terms.
Experience:
- Valid Texas Barber or Cosmetology License required.
- Prior professional barbering or hairstyling experience preferred.
- Proficiency in men's haircuts, fades, beard grooming, and other barbering techniques.
- Strong customer service, communication, and time management skills.
- Experience managing appointments and clientele is a plus.
- Barbers with an established customer base are welcome, as are motivated professionals interested in growing their clientele.
Compensation:
Offering Hourly and/or Commission or Chair Rental.
